Meh. Started this as a random smoosh in the front of a new sketchbook, in ink, to prevent the front page from smudging against the cover as it normally does with pencil. Like a lot of my 'Dose' pictures, this was done entirely with a ballpoint pen, with no pencil sketching at any time, just because it's fun to do that once and a while to see what kinds of travesties of anatomy can result from it.
Sadly, the picture was turning out 'okay' for a little while, but then I stupidly made the decision to finish up the ink (mainly on the lower parts, sans the lower head) at about 3AM with the pen beginning to die. As a result, I started pressing hard and retracing a number of times to darken the lines, which in turn resulted in losing whatever nonexistant quality my lines had in the beginning. Which is why the bottom (sans the lower head, which I'd drawn floating there earlier) looks so much crappier than the top. XD; Which doesn't actually say much.
None the less, this is going into my gallery instead of my scraps because it's at least of similar quality to my Doses, which are all in the main gallery anyway. Less emphasis on shading here and more emphasis on pointless details. I might throw some cheap color onto this in a sad, sad hope of masking some of the awful linework, but I doubt that'll succeed much.
Insane, as always.
It's almost reminds me of a sea dragon.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
