started a little "game
", something along the lines of 'draw your character as jello!" I decided to hop on in because it looked like fun, and it ultimately -was- extremely fun to draw. Nudity was a requirement, though cartoon nudity was acceptable, so I went with that, because I'm too pansy to draw full nudity.
My avatar has two main appearances: the human-faced one that I've used on a few occasions, and the slightly more gryphonlike one that I've drawn before but never posted pics of. People from the Gryphon's Guild might recognise this more gryphonlike one (or would, if she were actually in her normal colors, which are white, red, and silver), though her scorpion tail is probably a givaway.
If people are wondering what the heck her 'flavor' is, well... it's got several names, but mainly Rainbow Jello, Rainbow Cream Layer Jello, or Ribbon Jello. It's something my mom makes from time to time (though sometimes it is also brought to potluck parties by my sister or auntie). The fruit layers are strawberry, orange, lemon, and lime, and the 'opaque' layers in between is a sweet-cream layer made from condensed milk, some water, and gelatin. They're all mixed into their liquid states in separate containers, and the actual gelatinizing process is quite tedious... the first layer is poured, then partially hardened in the fridge before the next layer is poured in, and so on and so forth. We've yet to try to get a blue and purple layer in, though, to complete the spectrum.
The most important feature of Ribbon Jello is that the layers peel off from each other rather easily (which is what makes it really fun). However, it's not necessarily smart to construct a body out of, at least not to construct a body out of and expect it to hold together.
: Harr harr, the thumb on the detached arm is on the wrong side of the hand! Hurrhurr hurrrrr~!
Pity, too, I'd flattened the color layers into the outline layer, so it'd be too much work for my lazy ass to go back in and fix it at this point. XD
