Done completely with ballpoint pen. No pencil sketch (the pic itself started in school when I forgot to bring a pencil...again. But since it went along so well, I decided to finish the rest without pencil interference). I think the pipes/wires at the base killed it, but I guess it's okay.
I decided, for ONCE, to leave the picture in the pen's natural color, as opposed to throwing it into "Grayscale" mode like I usually do. It's an odd kind of metallic purple. It'd be interesting to do that to my other pics, and you'd see the many shades of 'strange metallic colors' that compose my "cheap or free ballpoint pen" collection. The details stood out more in its natural state than when grayscaled, anyway.]
Wow, this looks so amazingly detailed, it's hard to believe it was done only in pen! The shading looks wonderful too, especially the way you've made the spines look so realistic and 3D! I like the lack of eyes, it really adds to the creepiness factor too. Great work!
Another master at the ball point pen. You and machine-guts are awesome artists. Lovely picture here, you can look at it from any angle. wtf indeed. I draw stuff like that too, so It's nice to find someone else out there who does. It's a small world indeed.
That is an amazing picture. I love how you did that with pen. It really brings out the amazing things you can do with traditional art ^-^ *cheers* It's so spiffy I wanna hug it....and hope it doesn't chew my arm off! woo!
